What Does Namasté Con Chardé Mean?

Namasté – A greeting acknowledging, “the light in me honors and acknowledges the light in you.”
Con – Spanish word  for “with”
Chardé – Me 🙂

Does That Moon Have An Afro?

Yes, here’s why– over time I’ve come to learn, understand, and connect with the moon (luna) and it’s feminine energy. In Spanish, the moon is expressed as la luna (using the feminine la), and the Latin word for moon is luna. I love looking up into the sky and seeing the different phases of the moon shining bright and wanted to have a logo that represented that changing beauty.

Luna has an afro to symbolize individuality & being naturally you. In society, staying true to yourself is not always looked at as the accepted way of doing things and too many times we’re told to be beautiful, we have to look like this, do our hair like that, or dress like someone else. My goal is to empower women (and men 🙂 ) to embrace being you 100% of the time and that is the most beautiful thing you could do. Whatever style, hairstyle, or lifestyle you choose– this logo and the yoga I would like to share is for you.

There is absolutely no discrimination and everyone is welcome to practice yoga & meditate. Practicing yoga, in my opinion, feeds your mind, body, and soul and boosts your overall mental health. I’ve found peace in yoga and hope to share this with as many people as I can! ☮️ The light in me honors and acknowledges the light in you.

Where Did This Start?

I began my yoga journey while attending college in 2010 solely as a workout but found that the mental benefits and meditation would be the things to keep me an avid student, and one day teacher.

Yoga class provided space where I felt compassion, empowerment, strength, peace, and at ease with life. This was (and is) just what I needed and something I want to share with others through my yoga classes. I completed Vinyasa Yoga teacher training at Yoga Yoga in Austin, TX in November 2016 and have been began teaching a lunch time yoga class at my office at The University of Texas at Austin.

Even though I am not able to physically be in yoga class with everyone, through Namasté Con Chardé, I’m able to connect with not only family and friends, but with people all across the world.
